December 2003
A week of sun, fun, and delectable seafood in the Florida Keys.
After spending a couple of quiet, lazy days swimming, sunning and relaxing in the hot tub at the Florida Keys RV Resort in Key Largo, we drove down to Key West to find Jimmy Buffett's infamous "Marguaritaville" on Duvall Street.
Then a stroll along Mallory Square where the street vendors and performers come out to share in the pleasures of the magnificent Key West sunset.
We returned to the Encore Park in Punta Gorda on Sunday, December 7th, the day before Di's surgery for rotator-cuff repair. It was considered a serious procedure and required approximately 3 months of follow-up physical therapy. Knowing this we set up a schedule for 3X/week in Lakeland near Polk City where we moved to on December 21st.

Our son Mark arrived at Orlando airport from Waltham, MA on December 22nd for a week's vacation and our daughter Jennifer was able to get away from Houston for three days. We had a "cozy" time in the RV. (First test ever of more than two occupants.) We spent Christmas day relaxing in the warm (65 degree) Florida sun, on Friday we had a fun-filled day and night at Universal Studio's City Walk (Yes we did eat at Marguaritaville-Orlando) and after relunctantly sending Jennifer off on Saturday morning we even took in a beautiful sunset at Clearwater Beach on Sunday.
