We arrived at White Oaks On The Lake in Monticello, Indiana in time to celebrate the 4th of July. RVs were decked out in their red, white and blues and the park supplied spectacular fireworks which were dis- played right over the lake.
We spent one pleasant day coasting along Lake Freeman in a covered pontoon while admiring the views.
One interesting day-trip was to Amish Acres in Napanee, Indiana.

It's an 80 acre farm exemplifying their simple lifestyle and Swiss-German origins which are reflected in the house, the Sweitzer barn and other buildings. They practice their religious beliefs regardless of modern technology and respect is given to horse-drawn buggies carrying passengers.
We attended our first Winnebago Grand National rally in Forest City, Iowa, with over 1,600 coaches. This year the town is celebrating their susquecentennial (150 yrs) and had all sorts of events, including chicken barbecues, historical re-inactments and a grand parade down main street. The rally, which lasted five days included seminars and great entertainment which highlighted Crystal Gail.
Adjacent to the rally field is the Heritage Park displaying period houses and museums with Scandinavian influence. Don and I enjoyed the minature ponies.
