April 2006
Our pace has slowed down drastically. We're staying put in Casa Grande, AZ for a
month. In that time we'll attend to our dental needs, new eyeglasses for Di, rotate the tires on the "toad", try to include several visits to Phoenix to visit Di's sister, Angie, my niece, Cyndie and her family, and start (or restart) an exercise routine. The last one is easy because they have a 6/day a week program called--Walk Off The Pounds. It's done indoors which appeals to me because it's getting very hot here in Arizona.
We attended Easter dinner here at the resort. And I have to say it was just delicious.
Most of the kitchen staff here at Desert Shadows is voluntary and they do an excellent
job with meals.
We got great news that Jennifer and our 15 month old grandson, Brandon would be flying
in for a short visit. Now that was a treat! And yes, he has changed so much in the short
8 weeks since we last saw him. His vocabulary is....crackers, Papa (Don's name), Nana
(my name), Mama, Dada, cat, dog, etc. He's got the neatest personality too! We
purchased a stroller, camp chair, and swim float to make the visit more enjoyable. (Of
coarse all items got flown back with Jen to Houston.
We left Casa Grande on April 26th and headed to Camp Verde, Arizona for a three week stay in one of the most scenic areas of the country which include the towns of Cottonwood, Jerome, Payson, and Prescott and Sedona.
