We discovered that our new C2C membership home park (Breckenridge RV Park) in Crossville, Tennessee is in a very desirable location. One hundred miles southeast are the Smokey Mountains and 100 miles west is Nashville. Brother Richard, wife Doreen, and granddaughter Jazzy visited and we all headed to Tennessee's largest flea market in Crossville for a day of discovery. Jazzy was on the lookout for an Australian Sheepdog. I was searching for Christmas gifts.
The highlight of our stay in Tennessee was visiting the historical mountain farming community of Cade's Cove in the Smokey Mountains National Park. It's an 11 mile,one-way loop road that surrounds the still-standing log cabins, barns, churches, grist mills, blacksmith shops and other structures used by mountain people back in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The experience gave us a sense of what an early settler's life was like and we were thrilled to spot a black bear searching for food in a stream.

Before heading toward Florida, we made a detour to Red Bay, Alabama which is located in
the northeast area of the state. We toured the Tiffin Motorcoach Factory. The new
coaches are absolutely gorgeous (just looking) and the new floorplans, with four slideouts have
a generous amount of room. Of coarse along with added improvements, standard features and new designs the cost also goes up. For now we'll just keep looking.

From Alabama we traveled east to Jekyll Island, Georgia to spend a week at the Jekyll Island
Campground. It has a very tropical feel to it and the natural, untouched beaches make you feel like you're on Survivor. The biking trail system makes it possible to tour the entire island. That made for an interesting Geocaching adventure, which we took advantage of. To date we've located (76) caches nationwide.

Now were on our way to Thousand Trails in Orlando and Wauchula, Florida. As temporary members we're invited to spend four weeks at their parks. After which we'll be heading west
to spend the holidays with family in San Antonio, Texas.
