RV There Yet?
We spent another two weeks at Pumpkin Patch in Hermon, Maine waiting for the cooling unit to arrive to repair our fridge. We made the best of the situation, biking the trails around Bangor, visiting the Winterport Winery, and day trips around the area. A drive to Liberty, Maine found us visiting an old friend, Hank Holden who opened a sporting goods store after retiring from Pfizer over 20 years ago. Needless to say he was surprised to see us. He's doing well and invited Don to fish with him next summer.

We spent a couple nights in Phippsburg, Maine which is in close proximity to L.L. Bean in Freeport, Maine. We purchased a new rug for he RV entry. Then we headed to Scusset State Park at the Cape Cod Canal. Sister Gay flew in from Texas so our three sisters (Gay, Shirl & Di) could spend some time together. On September 25th we attended the Scallop Festival in Buzzard's Bay where I met up with Rosalyn (We graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1966) who found me on Facebook.
We also visited Mark in Waltham, MA. He talked me into doing Karioke while he played on his X-Box drumset (It's pretty cool!) and we did lunch and a movie. We don't get nearly enough time to spend with Mark, with his being in New England, so it means a lot to all of us.

Willimantic, CT was once a hub for thread mills. Nowadays...they display their "mascot"..the frog...sitting on thimbles throughout the city.
