RV There Yet-All Years
August 2012
We spent a week at Mt. Desert Narrows Campground in Bar Harbor soaking up the sun and enjoying a variety of activities in Arcadia National Park. We biked the carriage roads around Eagle Lake and Jordan Pond and picnicked at Thunder Hole.

The week flew by. We moved
to Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in Hermon, Maine. We stayed here in 2009 and it's one of our favorites. It's quiet, the grounds are meticulous, and it's quite convenient to Bangor, Bar Harbor, Camden, Rockport, and Rockland, all of which we want to visit. There are great hiking, biking, and geocaching trails in the City Forest near the north end of the city. We hope to reach 400 caches while here.
Most important is the fact that Bangor's American Folk Festival is held here in August. It's a three day event with music, dancing, and food from all around the world.

Our favorite thing in the summer are the farmer's markets and flea markets throughout New England. Fresh...fresh...fresh! We eat so healthy and everything tastes so much better than supermarket foods. Here in Maine we find them almost every day of the week. Fresh veggies, fruit, breads, goat cheese, and for me...flowers.

I know our stay here in Hermon will fly by and soon we'll be making
our way south to Hunting Island, S.C. for our volunteer commitment.
