The Enchanted Highway (located off I-94) runs south along 32 miles of scenic prairie, displaying metal folk art sculptures created from scrap metal by artist Gary Greff of Regent,North Dakota. As a native of Regent he began dreaming of ways to draw people and business to the town and improve tourism.
It is now on the official state map of North Dakota.
(1) Built of used farm equipment,
stands 45 feet tall. (2) Constructed
of used well pipe and stands 51 feet
tall. (3) Made from wire mesh, the
rooster is 70' tall, the hen is 60'
tall, and the chicks 20' tall.
(4) Sculpure was welded from old
fuel and oil tanks and is 50' long,
40' tall. (5) Geese in Flight (now
in the 2002 Guiness World Book
of Records is 110 feet tall. (6)
Made in a shadow design, the buck
is 75' tall and the doe is 50' tall.
Now under construction is Fisherman's Dream (7), and coming soon: Spider Web,Eagle and Coyote.
