Here are a few family pictures taken on Easter Sunday. (left) David, Brandon and Jen Gamble.
While driving along the highway to Lake Tawakoni, we spotted huge clusters of Blue Bonnets (the Texas state flower) which bloom in mid-April each year. Along side them was the Indian Paintbrush with it's orange brilliance. The wild flowers in Texas are a beautiful sight to behold!
Visiting Paul and Gay is always a treat. They live in a quiet rural setting outside the city limits of Big Sandy Texas. Their property is surrounded by Gay's nurtured gardens and Paul's new crop of pine trees. It's so relaxing just to meander along their wooded path or sit on the porch and enjoy the sounds of the resident woodpecker.

After our stay in east Texas, we traveled east on Interstate 20 through Louisianna. We stayed two nights in Monroe, LA at the Shiloh RV Resort which is conveniently located off I-20. (Finally...a Starbucks!..a week without Starbucks!) Then overnight at Styx River RV Resort in Robertsdale, AL. This place had been devistated by Hurricane Katrina, but, after a couple of years of tender-loving-care from the staff it is again a beautiful campground and one of our favorites. We passed through Florida spending overnight at the Superwalmart in Gainsville and arrived at Mt. Olive Shores North in Polk City, Florida for a three day visit with Don's brother. While there we just had to revisit Parksdale Farms in Plant City, Florida for their famous strawberry shakes. Then onto Orlando.
