RV There Yet? - All Years
June 2012
We are on our journey back home to New England after being away for over
three years. We left Cape Hatteras National Seashore on June 2nd, stopping
in Fredericksburg, VA to have repairs done on our dining awning and cab air
conditioner. That took several days to accomplish since parts had to be ordered.
We took advantage of the wait to visit Washington, D.C. and several local historical sites around Fredericksburg including the boyhood home of George Washington. $500 and 4 days later we were off to Hershey, PA for a much-deserved six day stay at our Thousand Trails resort.
We arrived at Boston Minute-Man Campground in Littleton, MA for a week's visit with Mark. For his birthday we did a "pub crawl" in Boston and enjoyed a picnic and campfire at the campground.
We stayed at Mystic Campground in Old Mystic, CT for two weeks. The plan is to revisit as many friends and families as possible and enjoy some sights before heading to New Hampshire and Maine for the remainder of the summer. What a surprise to find out the Westerly Pops was scheduled for Saturday, June 23rd,
and we could attend after being away for ten years.
I made a promise to visit my sisiter, Shirley who
is recovering from knee surgery and is unable to
garden. (her passion) I wish I could have done more
but I did manage to weed two gardens. We caught
up on family and found out Norm and Shirley will be camping with us in New Hampshire with their newly
purchased C-class motorhome this summer.
